About the Art
The painting that inspired this cow is the oil on canvas painting "Starry Night" by the post-impressionist painter Van Gogh. Originally painted in June 1889, it depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The dominant shades of blue symbolize the atmosphere just before sunrise, with the addition of an idealized village. Nowadays, It belongs to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City since 1941. Starry Night painting is among Van Gogh "finest works, and one of the most recognized monuments in the history of Western culture.

About the Cow Parade Boston
The Cow Parade art show landed in Boston for mostly four months in 2006 with a herd of 118 cows. Indeed, the theme of this art exhibit is to remind Bostonians' pastoral roots as a grazing area, as Boston Common was once a pasture. The Cow Parade tours cities throughout the five continents. It is a chance for Boston artists to celebrate their cities and express their creativity. For the Cow Parade Boston, artists sent over 400 designs to a panel of judges. Then, judges selected 118 of them and artists used paint and other materials to create.
The Cow Parade Auction gave the public a chance to bid on 54 of the life-size cows and raised about $353,000 for cancer research.
