This painted cow of the Museum Edition of the Cow Parade is inspired by the work of the famous American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein.
It is one of the most emblematic CowParade masterpieces. COW! was the second highest bid of Boston CowParade auction, in 2006. The original sculpture was sold for $25,000.
Each cow in our collection is an authentic, detailed replica of a cow from an official CowParade event. The Museum Edition reproductions are hand-painted, capturing the finest details of the original cow masterpieces.
About the painted COW! collectible figurine
This hand-painted cow figurine is the exact replica of one of the most famous cows exhibited during the Boston CowParade event in 2006. It represents a large cow standing. The artist Joanne Kaliontzis got influenced by the creativity of the New Yorker and New Art artist Roy Lichtenstein. "COW!" artwork is a nod to Lichtenstein's best-known painting "WHAAM!". This collectible piece is part of the Museum Edition and comes with a CowParade Certificate of Authenticity and a soft dust bag.
