The Skateroom x Jean-Michel Basquiat - Skateboard Triptych Trumpet (1984)
Description
Bringing together tradition and contemporary culture, this Jean-Michel Basquiat Skateboard Triptych features a reproduction of Basquiat's work Trumpet (1984). The bright striking colours, the stick-figures, the references to historical figures and occurrences, the signature writing of words and poetry and having them crossed out; not to forget his love of Jazz. 'Trumpet' was the work of Basquiat in his element. It features an image of an individual playing a trumpet while wearing a crown on a white background with a deep red on the fringes.
This exclusive and limited edition set of three skate decks made in collaboration between The Skateroom and The Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat mixes the energies of underground culture and legendary artists.
