This masterpiece called "Exu" is a breaktaking modern artwork which features the graffiti and cartoon-like styles of Basquiat, within a complex and intriguing artwork. One can see the title of the piece at the top of the design, with a plethora of eyes floating around a devil-like beast who is positioned centrally. It was created in 1988 when Basquiat was merely twenty and is an example of Basquiat's early canvas-based work. This piece was created using acrylic and crayons on canvas. The original masterpiece is privately owned.
