Description
Bringing together tradition and contemporary culture, this JR Skateboard Polyptych features the French artist JR's work Migrants, Walking New York City, New York, USA, 2015. The print which adorns these five skateboards, came to be when JR decided to take pictures of recent immigrants, and paste their photographs onto the pavements of Flatiron Plaza to form the image of one of his subjects – an aerial shot shows the work amid the bustling city.. With this responsibly-made deck, The Skateroom creates a highly impactful wall display, with the option to take it out for a ride.
This exclusive and limited edition of 250 polyptych made in collaboration between The Skateroom and JR mix the energies of underground culture and legendary artists. The Skateroom is a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowering organizations.
